Jack Lemon's Dad

Several years ago, maybe 10-ish, we were playing Balderdash at one of our Fam-gets. We were partying and having fun. The rules of Balderdash are that everyone makes up a statement “of fact”, and attributes it to some celebrity or authority of some type. There is one true statement of fact thrown into the mix as well, which are typically unbelievable. I made up some “fact” and attributed it to the actor Jack Lemmon...

Then signed it as “Dad”, since the reader has to know who sent in the statement. The other people vote on which statement they think is the “real” one. The person that was reading the statements, read mine and attributed it to “Jack Lemmon’s Dad”.

Obviously my “fact” did not get any votes, and I was a bit peeved. But now when I sign something as Dad, I chuckle about signing it as Jack Lemmon’s Dad…. I suppose it is funnier to me than others…
